Presentations on the death penalty set for October 4

PABLO — The Montana Abolition Coalition hosts “Beyond Repair: True Stories of the Death Penalty” in Room 105 at the Late Louis Caye, Sr. Cultural Building located on the campus of Salish Kootenai College on Monday, October 4.

Event is to educate the public on the broken capital punishment system and to encourage Montanans to support abolition of the death penalty and replacing it with life without possibility of parole. The local sponsor of the event is the Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition

Speakers with firsthand experience of America’s criminal justice system share their powerful stories in a series of community events across Montana. Speakers are Marietta Jaeger Lane and Diane “Weezee” Cote.

The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a potluck dinner. Speakers present their stories at 5 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
